America: Go Fuck yourself with your atom bomb

America:Go Fuck yourself
with your atom bomb

America I've given you all and now I'm nothing.
America two dollars and twentyseven cents January 17, 1956.
I can't stand my own mind.
America when will we end the human war?
Go fuck yourself with your atom bomb.
I don't feel good don't bother me.
I won't write my poem till I'm in my right mind.
America when will you be angelic?
When will you take off your clothes?
When will you look at yourself through the grave?
When will you be worthy of your million Trotskyites?
America why are your libraries full of tears?
America when will you send your eggs to India?
I'm sick of your insane demands.
When can I go into the supermarket and buy what I
need with my good looks?
America after all it is you and I who are perfect not
the next world.

Your machinery is too much for me.
You made me want to be a saint.
There must be some other way to settle this argument.
Burroughs is in Tangiers I don't think he'll come back
it's sinister.
Are you being sinister or is this some form of practical joke?
I'm trying to come to the point.
I refuse to give up my obsession.
America stop pushing I know what I'm doing.
America the plum blossoms are falling.
I haven't read the newspapers for months, everyday
somebody goes on trial for murder.
America I feel sentimental about the Wobblies.
America I used to be a communist when I was a kid
I'm not sorry.
I smoke marijuana every chance I get.
I sit in my house for days on end and stare at the roses
in the closet.
When I go to Chinatown I get drunk and never get laid.
My mind is made up there's going to be trouble.
You should have seen me reading Marx.
My psychoanalyst thinks I'm perfectly right.
I won't say the Lord's Prayer.
I have mystical visions and cosmic vibrations.
America I still haven't told you what you did to Uncle
Max after he came over from Russia.
I'm addressing you.
Are you going to let your emotional life be run by
Time Magazine?
I'm obsessed by Time Magazine.
I read it every week.
Its cover stares at me every time I slink past the corner
candystore.

I read it in the basement of the Berkeley Public Library.
It's always telling me about responsibility. Business-
men are serious. Movie producers are serious.
Everybody's serious but me.
It occurs to me that I am America.
I am talking to myself again.

Asia is rising against me.
I haven't got a chinaman's chance.
I'd better consider my national resources.
My national resources consist of two joints of
marijuana millions of genitals an unpublishable
private literature that goes 1400 miles an hour
and twenty-five-thousand mental institutions.
I say nothing about my prisons nor the millions of
underprivileged who live in my flowerpots
under the light of five hundred suns.

I have abolished the whorehouses of France, Tangiers
is the next to go.
My ambition is to be President despite the fact that
I'm a Catholic.
America how can I write a holy litany in your silly
mood?
I will continue like Henry Ford my strophes are as
individual as his automobiles more so they're
all different sexes.
America I will sell you strophes $2500 apiece $500
down on your old strophe
America free Tom Mooney
America save the Spanish Loyalists
America Sacco & Vanzetti must not die
America I am the Scottsboro boys.
America when I was seven momma took me to Com-
munist Cell meetings they sold us garbanzos a
handful per ticket a ticket costs a nickel and the
speeches were free everybody was angelic and
sentimental about the workers it was all so sin-
cere you have no idea what a good thing the
party was in 1835 Scott Nearing was a grand
old man a real mensch Mother Bloor made me
cry I once saw Israel Amter plain. Everybody
must have been a spy.

America you don't really want to go to war.
America it's them bad Russians.
Them Russians them Russians and them Chinamen.
And them Russians.
The Russia wants to eat us alive. The Russia's power
mad. She wants to take our cars from out our
garages.

Her wants to grab Chicago. Her needs a Red Readers'
Digest. Her wants our auto plants in Siberia.
Him big bureaucracy running our fillingsta tions.
That no good. Ugh. Him make Indians learn read.
Him need big black niggers. Hah. Her make us
all work sixteen hours a day. Help.
America this is quite serious.

America this is the impression I get from looking in
the television set.
America is this correct?
I'd better get right down to the job.
It's true I don't want to join the Army or turn lathes
in precision parts factories, I'm nearsighted and
psychopathic anyway.
America I'm putting my queer shoulder to the wheel.

Che's comred Almeida dies

Here, nobody surrenders!

Slogan from the revolutionary struggle attributed to Almeida

One of the original protagonists of the Cuban revolution, Juan Almeida Bosque, has died of heart failure at the age of 82. Juan Almeida Bosque (February 17, 1927 – September 11, 2009) was the third ranking member of the Cuban Council of State and one of the original commanders of the Cuban Revolution. He was one of only a few individuals who have received the honorary title of Hero of the Republic of Cuba.

Almeida was born in a poor area of Havana and left school at the age of eleven and became a bricklayer. Whilst studying law at the University of Havana in 1952, he became close friends with the revolutionary Fidel Castro and in March of that year joined the Cuban Revolution. In 1953 he joined Fidel Castro and his brother Raúl Castro in the assault on the Moncada barracks in Santiago and was arrested and imprisoned with the Castro brothers in the Isle of Pines Prison. During the amnesty of May 15, 1955, he was released and transferred to Mexico. Almeida returned to Cuba with the Castros and Che Guevara on the Granma expedition and was one of just 16 who survived the initial landing during which Cuban government forces killed most of the rebels. During the battle Almeida shouted "No one here gives up!" (alternatively "here, nobody surrenders") to Guevara, which would become a long-lived slogan of the Cuban revolution. Almeida was also reputed to be a good marksman. During the revolution, as a black man in a prominent position, he served as a symbol to Afro-Cubans of change from Cuba's discriminatory past.

He was named a "Hero of the Cuban Republic" by Fidel Castro in 1998. Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque died of heart attack at 82 on September 11, 2009. The Cuban authorities are organising a memorial ceremony for Sunday 13 September at the monument to fellow revolutionary José Martí in Havana's Revolution Plaza with several other memorials occurring across Cuba. The date will also be a national day of mouring during which flags will be flown at half mast. Almeida did not wish for his body to lie in state and the Cuban government has stated that it will honour his wish. His body will be given a military funeral.

Bangladesh is now Directly connected with Nepal and Bhutan by road

Bangladesh is now Directly connected with Nepal and Bhutan. India has agreed to provide Bangladesh "connectivity" with Nepal and Bhutan through Indian territories, says a Bangladesh-India joint statement on foreign minister Dipu Moni's recent visit to that country.

New Delhi gave the consent after Dipu Moni held series of talks with top Indian leaders including prime minister Manmohan Singh.

From now Bangladesh is directly connected with Nepal and Bhutan by road. India has agreed to provide their road for Bangladesh . So now we can go to Nepal and Bhutan by road and hope our relation between these countries will more better soon.

In turn, Dhaka agreed to give India access to Ashuganj port to facilitate movements of Indian consignments through Bangladesh, said the statement issued by the Indian high commission in Dhaka on Thursday after the two-day talks on Sept 8 and 9.

The two countries agreed also to hand over convicted criminals to each other and cooperate to curb international crime. India also agreed to provide Bangladesh 100 megawatts of electricity "on a priority basis", subject to completion of a feasibility study on a power grid connectivity between the two countries. The two sides discussed the use of Chittagong port by India, but no agreement was reached. "Both sides recognised the importance of bilateral and regional connectivity," the joint statement reads. "In this context, both sides discussed designating Ashuganj as a new port of call under Article-23 of the Inland Water Transit and Trade Agreement as well as the use of Chittagong port by India." Continued the statement: "Bangladesh side agreed to provide access to Ashuganj Port to facilitate the transportation of the Over Dimensional Consignments for the Palatana Power Project in Tripura.

"Indian side agreed to facilitate Nepal-Bangladesh and Bhutan-Bangladesh connectivity."

The statement said, "India agreed to provide at least 100 MW to Bangladesh on a priority basis.
"Ahead of this, it will also undertake a feasibility study on power grid inter-connectivity for transmission lines, etc from India to Bangladesh".

Pakistan must ask for forgiveness to Bangladesh

Do we remember the genocide of Bangladesh in 1971? It happened in 1971, during the 9 months long Liberation Struggle in which the tiny nation of Bangladesh fought a bloody war with their then 'rulers', Pakistan. The killing game started in the name of "Operation Searchlight" by the Pak Army on the night of March 25, 1971, when they took the roads of Dhaka & other cities and murdered some 30,000 odd innocent Bengalis. The order of the day was: shoot at sight! And, it continued for 9 long months. Some Bengalis, who called themselves the Razakars, Al Badars & Al Shams, joined hands with the occupying Pakistan Armed Forces in the killing game.

Nothing could stop the liberation of Bangladesh, even though Pakistan had the US & P R China supporting them, including other influential Western & Middle Eastern governments. The Bengalis, though not known to be a martial race, defeated the Pakistan Army in one of bloodiest war in history. The Pak army had to surrender to the Joint Forces of Bangladesh & India, along with their local aids. But by that time, they were done with murdering approximately 3 million Bengalis, including women and children.
GENOCIDE: Between March 25 and December 16 of 1971, estimated 3 million Bengalees were killed, 200000 Women Raped and 10 million were Displaced by Pakistan Army. This was the Worst Genocide after Second World War...This was a mass killing of innocent civilian, men, women and children too part of the country was spared. Killing field can be found in every town and village...SHAME ON YOU! Killing was particularly targeted towards youth, religious minorities and democratic forces. In the final days of liberation war, local fundamentalist collaborators of Pakistan Army named Al-badar and Al-shams took leading intellectuals including writers, journalists, doctors, lawyers and engineers blindfolded, killed them and dumped them in Dhaka city outskirts.

The massacres in Dacca were only part of the story however. The Pakistan army had begun a campaign of genocide that extended to all major cities and towns in Bangladesh and then moved out into the countryside to terrorize, murder and rape Bengali villagers. With foreign reporters expelled and a complete news censorship in place, the Pakistan army declared that the situation in East Pakistan was "normal".

INTELLECTUALS KILLING: The Pakistan army, on the verge of defeat, was determined to wipe out Bengali culture in one final act of barbarism. On December 14, 1971, the Pakistan army unleased the paramilitary units al-Badr and al-Shams to exterminate Bengali intellectuals. The goal was to find and kill Bengali political thinkers, educators, scientists, poets, doctors, lawyers, journalists and other intellectuals. The al-Badr and al-Shams fanned out with lists of names to find and execute the core of the Bengali intellectuals. The intellectuals were arrested and taken to Rayerbazar, a marshy area in Dhaka city. There, they were gunned down with their eyes blindfolded and their hands tied behind their backs. Over 1000 dead intellectuals were slaughtered in Dhaka city alone on the night of December 14. Till date, we, the Bengalis of Bangladesh, do not know of a single incident where the criminals who were responsible for the genocide, looting and widespread violence in 1971 Bangladesh, have been brought to justice.

RAPE: Rape in Bangladesh'71 had hardly been restricted to beauty. Girls of eight and grandmothers of seventy-five had been sexually assaulted … Pakistani soldiers had not only violated Bengali women on the spot; they abducted tens of hundreds and held them by force in their military barracks for nightly use.

"Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were and say why not." ...Therefore, why not Pakistani Gov. should ask forgiveness towards Bangladeshi people?

We, the Children of Genocide, understand the true nature of war. There is no glory in it - only inhumanity and death. Only loved ones not with us, only images of terror as army boots kick down your door in the middle of the night, only the warmth of a mother’s arms as planes come in for another strafing run...Therefore, why not?

In 1971 the people of Bangladesh fought to survive, we fought the extermination of our society. They slaughtered millions of us yet they did not prevail. The end of the war was a forgone conclusion at the very beginning. Having launched the war, Pakistan was condemned to lose it. Yet, they killed three million before they finally accepted defeat...Therefore, why not?

U.S. media and government have demonized Venezuelan

American Director Oliver Stone says the U.S. media and government have demonized Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and other leftist South American leaders, and argues in a new film that they were right to stand up to Washington.

Hugo Chavez landed in Venice Film Festival for the Oliver Stone's "South of the border" film's premiere, has earned a reputation for his outspoken criticism of U.S. policy, and in Stone's "South of the Border" he is sympathetically portrayed as a hero of the people who refuses to be bullied.

The leftist Latin American leader's arrived in the lagoon city to pay homage to Stone's documentary which in part deals with the alleged demonizing of Chavez by the US media and is screening out-of-competition at the festival. Chavez acknowledged the audience's applause with waving arms before taking up a seat next to Stone in the Sala Grande main hall of the film festival's Palazzo del Cinema venue. Earlier Monday, Stone praised Chavez, whom he interviews extensively in the film, and "all the wonderful change" which has occurred in Venezuela, since the former military officer came to power in 1999. The US filmmaker also defended Chavez's ties with Iran, that have come under fire from Washington. The Venezuelan president in Tehran on Sunday met his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and struck an agreement for Venezuela to export petrol to th e Islamic Republic. Chavez's visit for Stone's film - in which the director visits seven Latin American nations where he denounces the impact of Washington-inspired neo-liberal economic policies - has poured further fuel on an already politically charged festival. Saturday Venice saw the world premiere of the hard-hitting Capitalism: A Love Story by another controversial US director, Michael Moore. Moore, in his film which has been well received in Venice, roundly attacks the US banking system and US government policies, which he accuses of being the cause of the current financial crisis. Political waves from this year's festival have also seen Italian conservative parliamentarian Alessandra Mussolini, granddaughter of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, begin legal action last week against the makers of a Romanian film screened at the festival, which she alleges slandered her. In one scene of the film - Francesca, which denounces xenophobia in Italy against immigrants - a character refers to Mussolini as a "sow" who wants to have Romanians killed.

Originally an attempt to redress what Stone saw as unfair treatment of Chavez by TV networks and newspapers, the documentary turned into a bigger project and included interviews not only with him but with six other presidents in the region."I think the movie, if you've seen it, shows very clearly the level of stupidity in the kind of broad statements that are made about Mr. Chavez," Stone told reporters at the Venice film festival.

"But I didn't want to make a movie only about the American media's attacks. I felt that that was too small for what this man is about. This man is a big phenomenon.

"So we traveled in a road trip kind of movie to visit these other presidents and we saw the positive side of what is going on, the sweeping change in this region. It's a very important historical phenomenon that is ... ignored in America."

Chavez, surrounded by bodyguards, strolled with Stone on the Lido red carpet, posing for pictures and signing autographs like a movie star before receiving a standing ovation at the premiere on Monday.

"What's happening in Latin America is like a Renaissance," the Venezuelan leader told reporters.

South of the Border combines clips of U.S. broadcasters and commentators describing Chavez, one of them comparing him to Hitler, with interviews and news footage of economic upheaval across South America during the last decade.

Richard Gere kissed Shilpa Shetty

Richard Gere, 58, caused an outcry by grabbing Shilpa Shetty, the Celebrity Big Brother winner, 32, and swept her backwards and kissed her at an Aids-awareness in New Delhi earlier this year.

The Pretty Woman star’s effigy was burned in the streets of India’s holiest city, Varanasi, after footage of him planting multiple kisses on Shetty’s cheek was broadcast on Indian television.

The furore appeared to die down initially until a member of the public in the Rajasthani city of Jaipur filed a suit “in the public interest” alleging that Gere and Shetty had violated India’s strict obscenity laws.
